Server Monitor utilizes the servermgr daemon that is built-in to MacOS X Server.
2. Do I need to have a particular port open?
Server Monitor communicates securely with the server over port 311.
3. Does Server Monitor work with 10.4 Server?
Yes, Server Monitor supports 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 version of MacOS X Server.

Yes, Server Monitor works over WiFi, 3G and Edge.
