Email Backup Pro Support

1. I purchased Version 1.x of Email Backup Pro, is there a cost to upgrade to Version 2.x?

Unfortunately, there is a charge to upgrade from Version 1.x to Version 2.x. The upgrade fee is $5, unless you purchased Email Backup Pro after the 1st May 2008. All purchases after this date are eligible for a free upgrade. Those eligible for the free upgrade will receive their new license keys shortly.

2. How do I set Email Backup Pro not to quit Entourage when backing up my emails?

You can select the correct course of action in the General section of the Preferences.

3. I have Email Backup Pro 2.0 and I can't get it to backup?

Please download the latest version of Email Backup Pro.

4. Does Email Backup Pro work in Snow Leopard?

Yes, Email Backup Pro version 2.3.2 or later has been tested with the latest MacOS X 10.6.

5. I have just upgraded to the latest version. What do I need to do to take advantage of the new features?

Simply open the new version of the application, and the Backup Engine will be automatically updated to the latest version.

6. Does the application need to be running to have the backup work?

No. Once configured there is no need for Email Backup Pro to be running. Backups will happen as scheduled.

7. How do remove the scheduled backup?

To remove the scheduled backup select Remove Configuration from the Tools menu.

8. How do I manage all my backups?

You can use the new Backup Manager in Version 2 to manage all your backups.

9. I use a non-English version of Entourage. How you I backup it up?

To backup the simply change the Entourage Language under the Tools menu, or allow the Auto-Selector feature (available in 1.4 or later) to select for you.

10. Do I have to quit my email application before the script runs?

No. Email Backup Pro will automatically quit your email application when the backup runs, and reopen it when it is finished.

11. What are the limitations of the trial version?

The trial version of Email Backup Pro allows for the backup configuration to be saved, but the configuration will not be scheduled. The only way to run the script is to use the run now command in the Tools menu. Purchasing will remove this restriction.

12. I use another email application that is not on the list?

Using the feedback section to the right you can request support for your application in future versions.

13. Does the destination need to be mounted?

No, Email Backup Pro (2.0 or later) can be configured to automount an AFP or SMB server volume. If the destination is a external drive then the volume will need to be mounted.

14. Can I request features for the next version of Email Backup Pro?
